I am a big fan of DFS and use it a lot in my W2K3 Server network.

I have run into an issue, however, which I am trying to fix.

On occasion my users have to manually refresh their screen to show any
recently added files. Is there some way around this? If I adjust the cache
referral setting will that help?

Thanks,
Bob

If the clients are XP SP2, the following KB article may apply:

Thank you, but the article states "This problem was first corrected in
Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2." and my clients are running SP2.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

I had the exact same problem. I tried the suggested registry entry in the KB
article even though I do have SP2. It seemed to fix my issue.

Might be worth a try

Ryan
