"Send As" Permissions problem |

Hello,
Some of the users in my ex2k3 organisation have two mailboxes. They need to
be able to send mail from both mailboxes. The users in question have full
mailbox access and can see mail from their main mailbox and the second
mailbox.
However, what seemed to working fine before upgrading my domain and forest
to w2k3, now they cannot "send as" with the other e-mail address in the from
field.
I can manually allow this by changing the permissions (security tab) in ad
users and computers. Than it apparently works fine for some time but the
specific send as - receive as permission disappears from the list and it
stops working again.
The inherit permissions option is "off" on the security tab. Still the
security permissions seem to be overwritten/replaced by ones that are coming
from ????
How can this be solved ? I'm having a lot of disgruntled users on my back
wanting me to solve the problem immediately but I don't know how !
