I have a DFS root posted to a DC with the links on server A (old one) and
server B (new one). The DC and server B are 2003 and server A is 2000.
Oftentimes the files from server A are cut and pasted into server B. We use
scripts to map every user to their own folder on the server. For some reason
the user will not have permission to access the data on server B even though
we give them full share and NTFS rights and map their script to the dfs share
(which includes server A and server B as targets to the link) . The data
never returns or replicates back to server A. Sometimes a folder is created
in the user's root folder on server A called
"NtFrs_PreExisting___See_EventLog". All the user's data is copied into this
folder and this folder is hidden and the user does not have rights to it.
The FRS on server A continually stops when started with warnings 13508,
13520, and error 13552. I have tried to use sonar, ultrasound, ntfrsutl and
a couple of other ones but the info is so general that I dont know what the
exact issue is. Can anyone out there help?
Thanks in advance for your time
