Hi folks,

I'm trying to create an IBM SDLC Link Service via command-line, using
LINKCFG.EXE, on
HIS 2004.

While reading LinkCFG technical reference in the following Microsoft link, I
saw it was possible to do it, using the /LSTYPE:"IBM SDLC Link Service"
parameter.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/his_2004Main/htm/_ref_linkcfg.asp

LINKCFG [ LINKSVC /LSTYPE:{
"Andrew Twinax Link Service"|
"Atlantis/SAGEM SDLC Link Service"|
"Atlantis/SAGEM X.25 Link Service"|
"DCA ISCA SDLC Link Service"|
"DCA ISCA X.25 Link Service"|
"DEMO SDLC Link Service"
"Distributed Link Service"|
"DLC 802.2 Link Service"|
"IBM SDLC Link Service"|
"IBM Twinax Link Service"|
"IBM X.25 Link Service"|
"MicroGate SDLC Link Service"|
"MicroGate X.25 Link Service" } ]
[ @commandfile ]

The problem is... My LINKCFG doesn´t have this parameter option! LINKCFG.EXE
/LSTYPE only has the following available links:
"DEMO SDLC Link Service"
"Distributed Link Service"
"DLC 802.2 Link Service"
"IP-DLC"

Are these parameters only documented but not implemented ? Is there any
other way to do it without installing any third-party software (SDLC
command line installation) ?
My SLDC card is an IBM PCI Multiprocol Adapter.

Regards,
Olavo Borges.

Olavo - I'm not familiar with the IBM card/software. But with other
cards/drivers you have to install the underlying vendor supplied drivers before
you can install/configure the link service with SNA/HIS server.

So probably you should ask the Q of IBM in the first instance
