hi all i have been asked to help someone out with setting up a program on there server but to no avail
they have a server running 2003
it connects to the internet by a cisco router that has been installed and supplied by another company sop they can use there intrenet
they have a program called cmail that recieves there email from there mail company called fasthost the program cmail is supposed to be able to be set up so that users can access there email by the cmail web interface to do this you have to set up port 8002 and they would connect with something like 192.168.2.1:8002 then the web interface would appear they then put there username and password and all should be okay.
i have put the port in the program to 8002 and have tried all types of configurations for the ip part as i typed in ip config and got the info from there but to no avail it just will not connect i have spoken to cmail tech support and they just say make sure port 8002 is enabled and they have said the ip address starting 192 is not the correct ip address as this is an internal one.
but how do i get the correct ip address? and how do i no if port 8002 is enabled when i cant access the router?(as its not theres) i wouid appreciate any help that anyone could gove me on this as it is beginng to become a real pain many thanks in a dvance |
