Error 1053 - IIS Admin Service |

Hey guys,
I was having some issues yesterday restarting IIS. IIS was running fine, I had to run a patch on something else but IIS had to be restarted for it to take effect.
When I attempted to restart from services, it gave me the following error:
Could not stop the IIS Admin Service service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I rebooted the server and IIS was unable to start at bootup. Windows gave me one of those generic errors:
IIS encountered a problem and needed to close.
send error report, dont send buttons.
I then manually started it from services with success (luckily).
After reviewing the logs, I saw 4 errors at the same time this happened.
SMTP server cannot create a file in the queue directory C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\Queue\.
I also noticed these two errors in the logs:
The Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).
The IIS Admin Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1 milliseconds: Run the configured recovery program.
Anyone know what would have caused this and what I should do at this point?
P.S Im running Windows Server 2003 W Exchange 2003.
