Unable to connect using remote desktop connection |
|

| I have a Windows SBS 2003 domain with a second Windows Server 2003 machine which is a member server in the domain. I have a static IP from my ISP which goes through a Netopia router(gateway 192.168.2.1). Each of the servers is double homed with a IP of 192.168.2.4 on the SBS machine and an IP of 192.168.2.5 on the 2003 Server. The Private side LAN NICs have IPs of 192.168.1.4 and 192.168.1.5, respectively. I am able to connect through the internet to the SBS 2003 machine using Remote desktop but when I disable the NIC on the SBS machine and try to use remote desktop to connect to the Server 2003 machine I never get a connection. I have configured RRAS on both machines exactly the same way. I have tried many different configurations and still cannot get the second machine to connect. The only thing I have not done is to remove the 2003 Server from the domain and try it that way, just to see if it works. Any suggestions? |
