Multiple Gateways for FTP Server |
We are in the process of adding a second Internet connection to our facility. The question I have is regarding our FTP server. This new connection is going to be dedicated to our FTP traffic. When I try to set it up with the new connection, the remainder of the LAN is unable to see the FTP server on the LAN. I need to be able to communicate internally with the server still so that files can be accessed after they have completed their transfer.
Currently our LAN is set up into two subnets and a Windows router in the middle controlling traffic internally. That router is the client gateway for all systems and is pointing to our original Internet connection as the way to the outside world. I need to get this working for just our FTP server to get out using the new connection, and maintain the ability to use the server on the LAN. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. I am sure this is going to involve some sort of static routing, but seeing as I have not really done that before, I could use some advice. Thanks! |
