I am a complete noob at this so I apologize but I can't figure out how to do this. What I want to do is have a folder on the network that only one person (different from the administrator) can access. I tested all of my attempts with my user name and nothing seems to work.

I created a group and then made myself a member of that group. Then I gave that group full rights in the folder and took all other groups out. If I do this I can't open the folder.

After this I tried taking ownership of the file. I still can't get in it.

When I keep the user group in I can open the file but so can everyone else.

I have no idea what to do. Can anyone explain this to me or perhaps point me to a previous post?

Thanks

Simon
