Load balancingi in Windows 2000 |
|
|
Hi,.
Am I correct in assuming Load balancing is not a feature of Windows 2000
server but is part of Windows 2000 Advanced Server..?
if so
Is there an add-on facility available by Microsoft to install Load Balancing
software for Windows 2000 server...?
I can't find anything on the Microsoft website on this
Please advise if you can |

You are correct, its only on 2000 Advanced Server. Now with Windows Server
2003, its on everything but Small Business Server. So, maybe an upgrade is
in order?
Cheers,

There are several hardware load balancing solutions that you can use in this
case. Sorry, I can't recommend any in particular, but a search on Google
should give you several.
You will probably find that a hardware solution is going to cost more, but a
good hardware load balancer can be used for many different groups of servers
in most cases. |
