SBS 2003 standard interent problem |
|
|
Hi Everyone, I have looked around and I cant get a clear handle on what excatly I am doing wrong here.
SBS standard
Comcast Internet
My setup is this
Comcast modem
into my linksys router
into my 2nd nic card in server
main nic to 2 belkin gig switches
off to clients machines
Now I can see the server from the clients Ping and map and all that good stuff
.
I cannot get access to internet. Any thing obvouis to anyone?
If I connect a line directly into router interent works fine.. for whatever reason my server doest see the router? Stupid qustion I know and once someone tells me what I did I will kick myself I am sure,. |

| I would guess you may not need the router between the modem and the server (make sure you can talk to the modem from the server). The modem should go directly into the primary NIC and the secondary NIC into the switches. I am a bit concerned when you say the router goes into the "2nd" NIC. There is a "Getting Started" Document on SBS 2003 that adresses the options, also KB825763 helps. |
