DNS server stopped forwarding!? |
|
|
We switched ISPs today, and now DNS Forwarding isn't working. When I test, it fails on a recursive query. Everything was fine prior to the switch. No events are logged in the event log.
The only way to get the clients to the internet was to add the ISP's DNS servers to DHCP.
Is it possible the ISP is blocking forwarding or am I missing something? |

When you switched ISPs did you remember to take the DNS server IPs of the new ISP and put them into your DNS forwarding?? I avoid using the ISP DNS server IPs and use 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 instead.
