CMS License expired message |
|
|
Hi,
We're using Win2k3/CMS2002 Dev Edition.
When a group of developer in a domain are assigned to a local Template designer
(WINNT USERGROUP) and added the NT USER GROUP to Template Designer user role
(SITEMANAGER), the users could not access to the template gallery in VS.NET
2003. They get the error as CMS Server License expired.
But when the domain user ids of the developers added to the Administrators
(WINNT User Group), they could access the template gallery.
Why is this happening?
Also when I try to add the users and selected the domain, I could not see
the list of the users available but could add the domain user manually. What
could be the issue.
Regards,
Sathish Kumar |

Hi Satish,
seems you tightend the security in your registry.

Hi Satish,
sounds as if the MCMS sysstem account does not have sufficient permissions
to enumertate the users in active directory.
Ensure that the MCMS system account has appropriate permissions in the
domains the users reside.
Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks for the response. We would try the solution.
But the user groups/user lists are not listing when we select the domain
