I have configured a cluster A/P with 2 DELL poweredge 1850 and a share SCSI
PowerVault P220S external disks.
I have installed Windows 2K3 and SQL Server 2000 in cluster mode. SQL Server
has been installed on the share disk. I have configured 3 physical disks (2
in RAID1 and one in RAID5) on the external disks. Everything is running fine
except the fact that when I write on the share disk, I have only a write
speed of 7 MB/s. When I try to write on the local hard disk of each node I
reach a write speed of 70 MB/s.
Anybody have an idea of what happened ? I can't accept a write spedd of 7
MB/s on the share disk because my SQL Server need to write a lot at full
speed.
thank you for your answer.

I am guessing this has to do with a minor misconfiguration. Check your
firmware, bios, drivers - run SUU 4.5 from Dell against each machine.
Failing that, call Dell Support, they can walk you through what needs to
change.

Cheers,

Rod
