If I wanted to ensure Active Directory starts AFTER DNS starts how would I
do that? Running Windows Server 2003 SP1, with Exchange SP1. This is a
single-server pointing to itself for DNS and running Active Directory. The
zone is standard primary with Secure and Non-secure updates set to 'Yes'. I
have a zone domain.local and a zone _msdcs.domain.local.

I am tired of the occasional 4015 error in my DNS event log. It only pops
up once every 3 reboots or so and the system is basically running
flawlessly. And please don't tell me they can be safely ignored as I
already know they can be safely ignored. I am determined to either stop the
4015 error or at least learn AD better while trying. A paste of the error
is below. Maybe there is something to be gleaned from the Data at the
bottom (which is: 0000: 51 00 00 00 Q...)?

Event Type: Error
Event Source: DNS
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4015
Date: 11/13/2005
Time: 2:50:55 PM
User: N/A
Computer: Server1
Description:
The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory.
Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error
debug information (which may be empty) is "". The event data contains the
error.

Data:
0000: 51 00 00 00 Q...
