How can I re-install MS DTC? |

I was having some troubled with MS DTC on a Windows 2003 server and was
following a Technet article which instructed me to uninstall the service, so
I did. However, when I tried to re-install it with the "msdtc -install"
command, the Event Log gave me the following error.
Message: Could not install the MS DTC service.
Event ID: 4106
I also see an error with the following details.
MS DTC Tracing infrastructure : the attempt to flush the existing trace data
failed. Internal Information : msdtc_trace : File:
d:\nt\com\complus\dtc\dtc\trace\src\tracelib.cpp, Line: 1702, FlushTrace
Failed, hr=0x80070005
The D drive on this system is the CD-ROM drive and there is no disc in there.
FYI, I am running with an Administrator account so I dont think its related
to permissions.
I would appreciate any assistance on how I can get this service back up and
running. Thanks!
