Hi

I am using a few web server which are getting there content in a DFS
share.
I often have hangs (IIS degug diag only show a Com + sta pile up).
When the system hangs, i get the process system (PID 4) going up in the
task manager and a perfmon show me this counter going up :
redirector/current commands (which is 5 or 6 on one web server, and can
raise to 60 or 100)

I read several thing about this indicator, old helps say this is a
queue of samba commands and seem to say that such an indicator high
means I have to subnet my network and add one or more NICs.
Well in fact, I only have 10 to 20 Mbit/s over this nic (FE in full
duplex, with no error on the switch), I tuned the lanman registry keys
(maxcmds and other one on the file server), but theses value stay quiet
high, and the IIS still sometimes hang when there are unusual GETs /s
on the web server.
Every OS are WIN 2003 SP1 with last public updates.
Any advice would be appreciated,

Regards.

YP.
