RE: need Upgrade? |

Hello Joel,
If the Windows 2000 file server is just a member server in domain, you can
upgrade it to Windows Server 2003 and enable Shadow Copies Services. You do
not need to upgrade the Windows 2000 Domain Controller to Windows Server
2003.
For more information regarding the Volume Shadow Copy service, you can
refer to the following resources:
Introduction to Shadow Copies of Shared Folders
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/scr.mspx
Volume Shadow Copy Service

t.mspx
Hope it helps!
Regards,
Ada Pan
