Hi

I require to deploy MCMS 2002 in the follwoing fashion

-- Multiple WebSites in IIS will be configured as Front End webServers
linking to same MCMS backend.

-- The Machines For Hosting WebSites are Physically Sperated (as IIS on
diffrent machine than of MCMS DB ) and again we had multiple sites all
pointing tp same MCMS bacend

Now can any one tell me what steps should i take to start this configration
...
moreover whats things to keep in mind before go into this setup ..anything
will help.

Hi,

MCMS actually has to be installed on the same machine as IIS.
It is possible to connect all the frontend MCMS machines to the same MCMS
database.
Only enterprise edtion of MCMS can be used in the scenario below as load
balancing of MCMS standard edition is not allowed.

Acutally you would need to install MCMS on all front end machines, have to
synchronize the MCMS encryption keys using the managekey.exe tool and the
ASP.NET machine keys.

Then run the DCA on all front end machines and point it to the same MCMS
database.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi,

ensure that the different channels have different rights groups.
Then ensue that the rights group holding the guest account is not assigned
to the Intranet channel structure.
That will do the job.

Cheers,
Stefan
