Hello, I am new to MOM in our enterprise, so this may be an easy question. I have a Mom server that manages near 250 SMS servers that are divided by six support people. I am trying to setup MOM to only notify the person in charge of a particular server instead of everyone. For example, Server01 is managed by Ben and Server22 is managed by Sally. How can I setup MOM to notify only Sally about Server22 and Ben about Server01. Thanks.

First create a notification group that contains each of the operators for
each of your SMS servers. Then create a top level rule group with sub rule
groups that pertain to each SMS server that you want to monitor for the given
rule group type. Then create your event / alert rules for one of the sub
rule groups and copy the event / alert rules to each of the sub rule groups.
Of course after copying the alert rules you'll need to change the pertinent
information within the rule (i.e. rule group association / notification group
to send the email to). The idea being that each sub rule group will be
associated with a separate computer group containing only the SMS servers for
a specific notification group.
