LCS 2005 "Route headers specified are invalid" error after s |
|
|
Hi,
I have a IM message application that communicates with about 40
clients.
The application maintains a sip session with each of its clients.
After a client session has be operational for some number
of hours LCS inexplicably 'disconnects' the session.
I set the logging level to 4 on the LCS and captured the 'cause'
of the disconnect below. LCS appears to think that the route
header in the message from the application is invalid. I have no idea
why this
might be since the application has been happily sending IM messages to
the client for many hours. Any help would be much appreciated.
Beneath the failed message log extract I've included
a previous successfully message log extract.

Re: LCS 2005 "Route headers specified are invalid" error aft |
|
|
I started a support case with Microsoft on this issue.
Microsoft did the following:
- gave me an unpublished 'hot fix' to install on LCS
- enabled tracing on the client pc by setting
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\RTCDLL]
"EnableFileTracing"=dword:00000001
- asked that I set the authentication on LCS from 'NTLM & Kerberos' to
just 'NTLM'
Not entirely sure the person I spoke at Microsoft understood the
problem
but I'll install the patch on Monday and see what happens. Our network
only uses NTLM
authentication (but all other server software is set to NTLM & Kerberos
which I believe is the default)
Last thing, I included the wrong bit of the log showing the 'route
headers are invalid' error. Sorry.
Here's what I meant to post:

I've got this exact same problem. LCS 2005 w/SP1 installed on Windows
2003 w/ SP1. I can't figure out what the issue is. On the LCS server I
get the same error you have. On the client tracing I get a thing saying
that the socket can't be made and and that the host name can't be
found. However if you sign out wait a couple minutes and then sign back
in, you are good for a few hours. Also if you log out, flush the DNS
cache then it works too. I'm at a loss... |
