Hi

I have just upgraded our root domain to Windows 2003.
When I run "netdiag -fix" I recieve a lot of DNS errors regarding
DomainDNSZones and ForestDNSZones.

I've looked around a bit on the internet and found that these are new
application partitions for the DNS in 2003.

Should these partitions have been created automatically or do I have to do it?

What are the implications if I don't create them?

Regards
Wayne

Hi

What functional level is the domain and forest configured as. AFAIK these
application partitions should have been created atuomatically - i have
certainly never had to create them

Have you tried DCDIAG as well as net diag and what exactly are the errors?

Regards

Simon
