ISA fwsrv keeps stopping |
|
|
I was wondering how I can fix this error in the event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft ISA Server Control
Event Category: None
Event ID: 14079
Date: 11-Nov-2005
Time: 12:47:26 AM
User: N/A
Computer: ACTIVE-DC
Description:
Due to an unexpected error, the service fwsrv stopped responding to all
requests. Stop the service or the corresponding process if it does not
respond, and then start it again. Check the Windows event Viewer for related
error messages.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I just upgraded ISA from 2000 to 2004 last night along with SBS 2003 service
pack 1.
Thanks,
Simon |

Hi Susan,
The server hardware is not that great:
P3-1GHz
80GB HD RAID1
512MB RAM
2 NIC cards
SBS 2003 Premium with SP1
I tried upgrading the RAM but I believe it tops at 512MB unfortunately. I
checked services.msc and all services set to automatic were started.
Thanks,
Simon

Yup. There's your issue.
512 is REALLY lightweight for running ISA and MSDE.
Flip ISA over to flat file

Hi Susan,
How would that affect the logging? Can I still capture the same contents as
with MADE or it's just a different way of storing the information? I
really like the new console of ISA 2004 BTW.
Thanks,
Simon
