SQL Long running job rule problem?? |
|
|
I see that the rules are running, turned the event to on....I have jobs
running that are clearly in excess of the existing thresholds:
(60 minutes - warning/120 -error)
and I am not getting any alerts being generated.
Another thing is that it doesn't seem to run against my clustered
servers....

Rule is enabled...checked that and I changed the parameter so it logs an
event when it runs. It doesn't log the event against a cluster. So really
we have two seperate issues:
1) It is not detecting the long running jobs
2) It is not working on a cluster and the virtual servers are already
managed...
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Thank you for your posting!
Please check the rule and enable the Alert.
For Cluster, You need to "start manage" the cluster virtual server in MOM
ADministrator Console first
If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.
