Multiple DNS entries |
|
|
Baby question on DNS servers.
When you create a network connection, you can specify mutliple DNS servers
to be queried.
Here is the question: Are the multiple DNS servers purely for redundancy
(if 1 isn't available, go to 2, etc).
OR
If the entry you're looking to translate doesn't appear in 1, then go check
2 and so on?
Thanks! |

Hi Kevin
DNS searches your Primary DNS server. If this cannot be contact *OR* no
results are retrieved from this DNS server, it then trys the Secondary One.
Cheers,
Nick
