Licensing Issue |
|
|
Our initial network consisted of an NT server with 260 "per seat" licenses.
We since have bought and installed two Dell servers, each with "25 Clt"
written on the COA on the side of each machine. We are phasing out the NT
system.
Question 1. How do I know if the 25 Client license is per seat or per user?
Question 2. Where do I go to see/install the 25 client licenses? I have
already clicked on Administrative Tools/Licensing. Under the Products View, I
only have Microsoft BackOffice (0 for each collumn) and Windows NT Server
(260 under Per Server Purchased). Shouldn't there be a Windows Server 2003 EE
product? Also, is it necessary to remove the NT licenses after out NT server
is retired?
Thanks,
-Dan |

Is this the same group that charges $245 per incident? Don't you think that
is a bit pricey for such a nominal issue? I could justify the charge if I
needed a walk through migrating to AD or setting up DNS, but telling me how
to check/modify our license should be a breeze.
