Hello
After install of Exchange 2003 SP2 I have no incoming e-mail form out side
of my domain, except for e-mail that Exchange goes and get from my Isp's POP3
e-mail address. I can get e-mail from inside my domain, but if I send e-mail
to my domain address from Yahoo or Hotmail to my domain address it neve shows
up.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for posting in the SBS newsgroup.

According to your description, I understand that you cannot receive
incoming email from many external domains, after you have installed the
Exchange 2003 SP2. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't
hesitate to let me know.

To narrow down this issue, please answer and perform the following
questions and steps:

1. Does this issue occur when you send outgoing email to the specific
external domain recipients?

2. If the issue only occurs with the incoming email from specific
external domains, are you using the POP3 Connector or SMTP service to
retrieve incoming email?

3. If you are using the SMTP service to retrieve incoming email, this
issue is most related to the Anti Spam feature of the Exchange 2003 SP2.
Please help me double-check their settings.

Note: Exchange SP2 delivers improved protection against spam to help
ensure a secure and reliable messaging environment, including:

- Updated and integrated Exchange Intelligent Message Filter

- New support for Sender ID e-mail authentication protocol.

To check their settings, open the Exchange System Manager, go to Global
Settings, right-click Message Delivery and select Properties, click
Intelligent Message Filtering or Sender ID Filtering tab.

To disable them, open the Exchange System Manager, go to Administrative
Groups -> Servers -> ServerName -> Protocols -> SMTP, right-click Default
SMTP Virtual Server and select Properties, click General tab, click
Advanced, click Edit, UNCHECK the "Apply Intelligent Message Filter" and
"Sender ID Filter" options, and then check if the issue can be reproduced.

4. If you are using the POP3 Connector to retrieve incoming email, please
try to contact your ISP to check this issue.
