Windows 2000 server Dc with pdc fsmo roles die |
|
|
hi,
yesterday the DC with the PDC roles is dead.
I've seized the roles on another DC and I can see (from Active Directory
Users & Computer/FSMO roles) the new owner of the PDC role.
But I have some problem with the trust with external domain. After some
checks I've some problems with the PDC role. DCDIAG report an error :
Starting test: FsmoCheck
Warning: DcGetDcName(PDC_REQUIRED) call failed, error 1355
A Primary Domain Controller could not be located.
The server holding the PDC role is down.
I've reinstalled the died server with the same name and Ip address, I've run
DcPromo on it, but the problem persist.
Any idea?
Can I use Adsi Edit è manually write which is the PDC server?
If I run Replmon I find the replication with a DELETED SERVER Blocked.
How can I delete this replication?
thank you |
