I created a user list with users' names, phone numbers, etc.

I would like to change item-level permissions so that each user can edit
only his own entry. However, when I enabled this restriction, attempted edits
failed.

It seems that, since I was the person who created the entries, subsequent
edits by users are not possible if edit access is set to "only their own".

Is anyone aware of a workaround for this issue?
