MOM 2005 Error |
|
|
We are using MOM 2005 with the service pack installed on a Windows 2003
Domain controller. MOM was working fine, then on Saturday we installed
Windows 2003 SP1. Ever since then, we are having a problem. When trying to
open the Operators Console, a message box pops up and says " error connecting
to Myserver". I dont even know where to begin troubleshooting. My boss is not
giving me the option to uninstall Windows 2003 Sp1.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
1) Restarted MOM Service accounts on all servers.
2)restarted MOM to MOM connectors.
Event logs on MOM Management server are reporting the following errors:
Error # 1
Event ID 10010 Error updating the status of the MOM to MOM Connector service.
Error # 2
Event ID 21213 Heartbeat update failed for 1 or fewer agents. Error
details: IDispatch error #3222
Those 2 errors hare happening frequently. ON the client servers, they are
reporting every few minutes that the agent has succesfully started, and then
a few minutes later it errors out.
ANy help is appreciated.
Thanks!!! |

Re: MOM 2005 Error |

Erik,
The account you are using to open the Operator console must be a member of
the Distributed COM Users local group on the management server. Actually,
you should put the MOM Users group in the Distributed COM Users group. That
should resolve the issue with the console.

Are the users in the Distributed COM Users group? This is different
than DCOM security settings.
