MCMS site will not load |
|
|
I have an MCMS site that was developed on a virtual machine. I created
an .sdo export package and seemingly successfully imported this to the
live server. I then proceeded to move the actual application to the
live server. When viewing in a browser the site never successfully
loads. I have attempted to replicate the VM's environment by creating
the appropriate virtual directories in IIS manager.
The only thing I can think of is the Default Website is stopped on C:
and a wwwroot is setup on E: with no InetPub folder. This is were MCMS
is installed and running. HTML, ASP, and even ASPX pages will load on
localhost/CMS, but the MCMS site will not. However, if I take the
actual MCMS site and make it a non-application virtual directory in IIS
I get errors in the browser like it knows what it's looking for.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. |

As an update I can get to <site IP>/channels, log in, then get to the
site though the channel structure in Edit Mode. |

Hi,
what do you mean with "never successfully loads"?
Do you get an error message or does it try to load forever?
Cheers,
Stefan

It tries to load forever.
After checking the server I found I can login through http://<site
IP>/channels, then get the standard MCMS page with a channel structure
and from there goto the site. I have found that the Guest account is
currently turned off, could this be the reason?
Thanks |

No this cannot be the reason.
You would need to check if the problem is caused on the client or on the
server side.
This can be done by looking in a network monitor trace.
If you are not familiar with how to do this you should open a support case
with Micrsoft to let them help you to isolate the problem.
