Mapped Drives won't respond to a DNS change |
|

I've made a recent change to a DNS Server, Everything works fine but
mapped drives, ping targets the new server, but drives still map to the
old server. Maped drives are the only problem. Any ideas? |

did you change an IP to the same hostname?
You may need to recreate map drives, or at least flush your dns.

Hi
I thought mapped drives and such shares use NETBIOS name resolution not DNS
so modifying DNS config would not fix the mapped drives issue
Could be wrong of course
