I an new to MOM 2005. I am trying to install MOM on a W2K3 server but
it requires that I have SQL 2000 installed. I do not want to install
SQL on this server but use create another SQL instance on a diffrent
server to host the MOM database. Is there some kind of switch that I
use on setup to address this?

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

You will need to first run MOM Setup on the SQL 2000 server and choose
only the MOM database component to install. When that is finished, you
will then run MOM Setup on the server that you want to be the
management server and choose the components other than the MOM database
to install. You will specify the database server and instance where the
MOM database is located during this setup process. Be sure to have the
MOM DAS account created and configured as described in the MOM
Deployment Guide because you will need to specify that as well.

Regards,
