I just got my copy of Visual Studio 2005 and when I tried to install it,
it asked me to uninstall the .NET framework 2 beta. I am wondering if I
uninstall the .NET framework 2 beta and install the .NET framework 2
that comes with VS 2005, will MSH still work?

Nope. You need to uninstall the version of MSH that works with .NET beta 2,
then you can remove .NET beta 2 and install the RTM version. Then you can
pick up the version of MSH that works with .NET RTM at
http://downloads.microsoft.com. Do a search for Monad and chose the one
that works with the RC/RTM .NET build.

I mean this in a good way, but why can't uninstall just uninstall the
freaking thing? Why is it taking an uninstall dependancy on a fx version?
I mean this is supposed to be the days of Xcopy deploy and delete - no?

This is a bug in the MSI that has been fixed.

Perform these in the SAME ORDER:
1. Uninstall MSH for beta 2.
2. Uninstall beta 2.
3. Install VS 2005.
4. Install MSH for 2.0 RTM. (Its available as a seperate download.)

MSH for beta 2 uninstall requires .Net 2.0 beta 2. So don't forget step 1
before step 2.
And no, MSH for beta 2 will not work after you install VS 2005 RTM.
