Paul,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do know which servers the GC is located on. We
have 2 one in the forest root domain and the other in the child domain where
I change to admin password. It seems the problem is more a browsing issue.
Can only see one server. but once I reboot dc's i can see all the servers.
Very strange. I will have a look at the GC's and see if there are any issues.
Once again thanks for your time.

Cheers

This sounds like a problem with your global catalog server. Do you know
where this (Or they) reside?

The way to learn if this is where the problem resides if a domain admin can
log on when no one else can. Do you know if this is true?

Yes it seems users can log on but they are having issues with browsing the
servers until I reboot the dc's

this all started happening since I changed the admin password last week. I
have checked all the services on the dc's to make sure they are not using the
administrator account and password hard coded but they are not. And it can
not be an authentication issue as once I have rebooted the Dc's everything is
ok.

This is why I am a bit confused. I know netbios is used to browse but what
link could there be to changing the admin password.

There is no relationship, sounds coincidental.
