Is it possible to move a shared quorum to the majorority node set option as
our environment grows or we consider "off site" failover?
Our current plan is to install 2 x 2 node clusters, one NLB and the other
MSCS. Sometime next year a Disaster Site planned. We would then need
reconfigure to a Geographically Dispersed Cluster, adding 3rd mode to each
cluster and creating a EMC mirror. This will require MNS.

Yes you can change from a shared quorum to a MNS quorum (and visa versa) at
will without disrupting the cluster.

I would like to ask why you believe that your geographically dispersed
cluster would require a MNS quorum? If you are creating a true
geographically dispersed cluster, then a MNS quorum should not be required.
You will still need to have a shared disk between sites and you'll need to
use a 3rd party replication technology to mirror the cluster data. If you
simply do not plan to mirror the quorum, then I guess MNS is the way to go.

FYI, if you're looking to do EMC mirroring with SRDF, you might want to also
look at SRDF/CE for MSCS (aka GeoSpan) as it nicely combines SRDF and MSCS.

MNS Looked like a wise way to go, according to this doc, it does show both
methods.:

....and don't forget that you only need 2 nodes to implement a geographically
dispersed cluster with the right solutions.

Personally, I am not a big fan of MSN (probably a major understatement)
though it starts to make sense when you're looking at 3-site cluster
configs. If you're interested in more info about geographically dispersed
clusters, Elder put on a fantastic presentation about geo-clusters and
