I just followed the domain rename prerequisites and guide on MS site, but I
keep getting error 1005 and 1030. After investigating it, it was due to a
the standard GPO refering to the old domain name.

I deleted the default GPO (only GPO I had), rebooted the server, and I no
longer have the problem or error.

Question:

How can I export this GPO and import it back with new domain name?

thanks.

You can recreate the default policies with dcgpofix.

Importing own settings can be done with the gpmc.
