Auditing is one way. The object is time stamped when it changed - the
attribute is whenChanged [1]. So you can check the logs around the time it
was last changed. You can also look at the owner, but if the user is a
domain admin that won't help. This isn't as easy as some would like it to
be.

[1] whenChanged isn't replicated, but is still updated locally, so is always
going to be accurate within the total convergence time of your replication
topology.
