We implemented Sharepoint services and portal server in August 2005. Our
accounting department shares speadsheets that involve links to other
spreadsheets. We were finding that by default files open from a document
library in "read" mode. I called Microsoft and discovered that this is by
design, we had a devoloper re-write the design to force files to open in
"write" mode. It seemed to work fine.
Before and after this addition we have found that Excel files can become
corrupt in terms of forumulas when saving into Sharepoint. The forumulas stay
correct but the results seem to change. Any ideas on how to help with this. |
