Valid users can't login ?? |
|
|
I have a number of sites that are experiencing problems with logins: the
user is assigned to the site with sufficient privelges and still can't log
in using Domain\Username. I have deleted the user and readded both in the
Site Settings and in the server's Central Administration. Has anyone
experienced this problem?

What type of domain are you using? NT4, W2K AD or 2K3 AD?

Was this domain recently migrated?
If so, it could be that the users' SIDs have changed. I have a blog
post that shows a solution to this problem.

Otherwise, it may be a problem with permissions unrelated to the domain
itself. Is the web server an AD controller? If so, it should be
promoted BEFORE installing IIS.

Thanks, I did try the script and I am still having problems.
It appears, the credentials are valid, but the access to the site is denied.
after three attempts we get the following...
*****
Request Access
You are currently logged in as:
OurDomain\TheUsername
Complete your request and then click Send Request.
