Have a Group Called ADMS and this group is a member of

- Backup Operators
- Printer Operators
- Server Operators
- Remote Desktop Users
- RAS and IAS Servers.

The users in ADMS group cannot create/add local printers on the servers,
when they go to add a local printer, only network option is available and the
local printer option is greyed out.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you Paul for your reply.

Yes, we are mixed mode.
The users have logged off and logged on numerorus times.
The servers are DCs.

Run a WHOAMI /GROUPS and check to ensure that the user is a member of the
necessary groups. If you are having problems with group nesting or domain
local groups it is probably because you are still in mixed mode.

Otherwise, have these users logged off since being added to the group and
have they been logged on (as opposed to logging on with cached credentials)?

One more thing - the servers in question. Are they member servers or DCs?

What are the scopes of the groups in question? Are the Global Groups or
Domain Local groups?
