Hi I'm getting the following error, I know this has cropped up before,
but perhaps someone could actually sugest what to do about it this
time....?

Error Type:
Commerce.DBStorage (0x8004D00A)
InitStorage encountered the following error while trying to access the
database specified by the connection string: New transaction cannot
enlist in the specified transaction coordinator.
E:\INTEPUB\WWWROOT\TEMPLATE\../include/std_ordergrp_lib.asp, line 82

We are using 2 seperate machines, and running dtctester.exe on the web
machine fails. Can someone please tell me what the correct settings
for dtc on each machine should be. It shouldn't be a firewall issue I
don't think, both machines are connected together behind a firewall, so
access should be open between them.

Running MCSC2002 SP3 on the web server, SQL server SP4 on DB server,
and widows 2k3 SP1 on both machines.

There may be different causes for this same symptom, but when I had that
problem I solved by ensuring that both the web server(s) and the data
server(s) had both Network COM+ Access and Network DTC Access enabled. You
set these things through Add Remove Programs... Add/Remove Windows
Components... Application Server... Details.
