I have a server ("ServerA") with a network printer installed on it ("Laser"),
listed in AD. I now wish to move this printer to another server ("ServerB").

I've installed it on ServerB, and again listed it in AD.

Now I wish to remove it from ServerA, but all my users already have it
installed. Is there a way I can make the move transparently, so users don't
need to remove and reinstall the printer?

Unfortunately there is no easy answer.

They will have to change it.

You may have two options. add rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry command line to your logon script if you have one. or stick DNS names in the UNC path-- e.g. \\printer1.example.com\printer1. this web may help,

Yes, this looks like what I'll have to do. Thanks.
