windows update broke my sharepoint site |

hello, this weekend I installed the following via windows update:
Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2 (KB887624)
Now I can not access my Sharepoint site and am getting the followinf error
in the application log:
Source: Microsoft SharePointPS Search Service
EventId: 3036
Description: The content source <http://sharepoint/> cannot be accessed.
Context: http://sharepoint/ Application, Portal_Content Catalog
Details: A server error occurred. Check that the server is available.
(0x80041206)

Hi,
The update of Service pack 2 may not fully update your shareponit table,
store procedures or any other components which caused this issue. Thanks
for Shane on the suggestion! This is the correct troubleshooting step for
this problem. Please use it to force the sharepoint updating all the
tables, sp and components. Then perform one iisreset (type
"iisreset"[without quotation mark in start->run]) to restart IIS and test
whether this works.
