Hey,

I just replied to a posting almost exactly 2 years late, but I thought
I'd provide my solution for the benefit of anyone else having a similar
problem. If you're simply attempting to preserve create/modify dates
when uploading documents/files to your Sharepoint Services OR
Sharepoint Portal environment, there is a simple solution. There is a
useful piece of software created by Vyapin called DockIT (Document
Import Kit for Sharepoint). You'll find it at the link provided. This
software must be installed on the Sharepoint server, and can be used to
load files into your sharepoint environment from any remote/local
source while preserving all file attributes, including the
create/modify dates. The software has a 15-day evaluation period for
free use.

Good luck.
