I run SPS 2003. Our company has been bought and we are about to change AD
domain. If I simply change the SPS server into the new domain, how will it
react to that, will it work att all?

The best (maybe only?) way to do this is to backup SharePoint, uninstall
SharePoint, change domains, install SharePoint, Restore portal.

Sorry I know that isn't what you wanted to hear but that is it. If you do
some googling you can find a KB on the topic I think. I had a client who
wanted to do it and this was where I ended up.

Here is a KB on renaming the server if you wanted a more detailed answer.
Looks like they make it so you don't have to actually uninstall. I just
give the advice uninstall so I am sure you didn't skip any of the steps. ;)
