First Question - Does MSCS operate without secure channel?

Second Question - Does MSCS work in a Samba DC environment?

Third Question - Upon reviewing the cluster log file during setup (of the
2nd node), I noticed these errors:
No DNS records were found for "SQLCLUS12.Northwinds". (hr=0x07232b,
{CD36919C-9F31-46B4-A29D-AC87F4E6CC93},
{B2359972-F6B8-433D-949B-DB1CEE009321}, 1, 1, 1), (null)

2004-12-19 01:06:14.358 [INFO] SQLCLUS12 {this is the virtual cluster name}:
The FQDN "SQLCLUS12.Northwinds" was converted to the NetBIOS name
"SQLCLUS12". (hr=00000000, {CD36919C-9F31-46B4-A29D-AC87F4E6CC93},
{D0AB3284-8F62-4F55-8938-DA6A583604E0}, 1, 1, 1), (null)

2004-12-19 01:06:14.420 [INFO] SQLCLUS12: The NetBIOS name, "SQLCLUS12",
resolves to "10.1.15.93" on LAN # 0 (Northwinds Network). (hr=00000000,
{B8453B8F-92FD-4350-A6D9-551FD018B791},
{D40532E1-9286-4DBD-A559-B62DCC218929}, 1, 1, 1), (null)

2004-12-19 01:06:14.420 [INFO] SQLCLUS02{2nd node}: Requesting a remote
connection to "SQLCLUS12" in domain "Northwinds" with binding string
"10.1.15.93" (hr=00000000, {B8453B8F-92FD-4350-A6D9-551FD018B791},
{26015CA7-EAE1-43F4-AC1E-718D80629E93}, 1, 1, 1), (null)

The "sqlclus12.Northwinds" does not exist. So how is it when adding the 2nd
node, sqlclus02 tries to remote connect to "SQLCLUS12" @ "Northwinds?"

Please no arbitrary or "I think" answers.

Thanks in advance for your response
