For someone new to this lot!
Can you explain whether FrontPage is needed to really utilise the true
potential of Sharepoint Services. Particluarly with respect to re-using Web
Parts within sites on the same machine.... I need to now how to reuse data in
lists and libraries in other sites on a single machine.... I current have
only Services installed... Do I need to upgrade to portal, or will Frontpage
open up this functionality.??

Hi,

Web parts are stored in galleries that can be shared amongst all of your
sites, you do not need SPS or FrontPage2003 for this to happen. It is ootb
functionality.

With respect to reusing your list data, it really depends on how your want
to reuse it!. FrontPage2003 has some great functionality that will allow
you to change the look'n'feel of lists and the data therein, as well as
enabling conditional formatting, etc. You can also code up webparts that
take data from different sites and collate it for you

SPS will enable you to aggregate information in different lists and sites
and present that information in a single location such as an Area. It also
brings lots of new functionality around search, taxonomies, MySites, Areas,
etc.

Nige.
