I need to route an external IP directly to an internal server. We're using
SBS2k and a broadband router with NAT. The SBS has two NICS.

What I'm trying to achieve is to open ports 5030-5050 on ip A.B.C.E and
route them to a server on 10.0.0.99: I've set up a NAT translation on the
router to route A.B.C.E to 10.0.0.99 but it isn't working.

Is there something inside SBS that I need to set up too or is this all
router based?

food for thought....
What type(manufacturer) of router is it? Can you just specify a Nat server
if so, specify the sbs nic and you should be ok. check default gateway.
(route print)

Where is the 10 subnet? If the router is a part of this subnet, then it
should work, and all troubleshooting should be on the router.

If the 10 network is not the routers internal subnet, then it is likely that
it doesn't know how to route to the subnet. If you are using ISA (SBS -
almost no doubt), it cannot easliy route - as ISA wants to NAT. In this
case, set the router to forward the ports to ISA's external NIC, and
configure a server publishing rule in ISA to forward your ports to your
required server.
