How can I find the site definition id used to generate an existting
WSS?

I would like to reduce the number of options users see when they
generate a subsite. If I rename the webtemp.xml file to a site
definition that has been used but is no longer being used, will I be
creating a problem?

I am guessing that I should not delete a definition that may have been
used to generate sites that still exist ... is that correct?

Thank you
